Hattie McGill is a hand embroiderer with a varied background in craft skills. Having completed a foundation degree in art and textiles she went on to achieve a First Class Honours from The National school of Furniture. Following on from this, driven by her lifelong passion of embroidery and fine sewing she achieved a place at The Royal School of Needlework studying hand embroidery. Taking advantage of her varied experiences and skill set, she is able to bring new ideas to the traditional practice of hand embroidery informing her fresh visual language and creative direction.

Hattie has worked on several major internationally renowned embroidery projects. These have been for clients such as, Liberty Arts Fabric for the V&A’s Museum of Childhood, Alexander McQueen and the Zurich Opera. She also freelances as an embroiderer for film and tv costume. Most recently Bridgerton Series 2.
